Well, my owner really didn't know what she was doing when I was adopted, so I found that some good training and a few vacation days away are really helpful for my sanity. Below are a few options for training (I've dragged my owner through three classes already) and boarding (don't tell her that sometimes I have more fun with the other dogs than at home!).

Dog Training & Sitters
Bella has taken classes here - usually held outside in various school or other parking lots. The instructors are great! Check out their website for detailed schedules, costs and the variety of classes offered. Even if your owner doesn't need training, they offer agility training and other "fun" classes. These are great ways to socialize puppies and young dogs if you don't have a neighborhood full of furry friends.

Doggietown USA - Huntington Beach
This was recommended by Professor, a local Scotttish Terrier. Professor and his parents think this is a great doggie day care and boarding. It's located in Huntington Beach off of Edinger between Goldenwest and Beach. The staff is great, they are with the dogs 24/7, and best of all it is completley cage free. It is set up indoors just like a child day care would be, except it's for our four legged kiddos! Professor has a blast there. He has been enjoying his playtime and slumber parties (that's what they call it when the dogs stay over, very cute) at Doggietown for almost two years now. His parents wouldn't trust anywhere else to take care of their little man!

Paws Pet Resorts in San Clemente has been offering quality doggie day camp and overnight boarding for quite a while.
